Apple's 15-inch MacBook Pro gets Force Touch, cuts iMac prices

Now that the people are used to the pressure sensitive trackpads in the MacBook and 13-inch MacBook Pro, it's high time that the 15-inch model joined the party. That's why Apple has just announced that it's bringing Force Touch to the larger of its pro laptops. At the same time, the device has been given slightly faster flash storage, an additional hour of battery life and a new AMD Radeon R9 graphics unit for faster polygon shredding. At the same time, the company has managed to get the price its 27-inch Retina Display iMac down below $2,000. The basic version of the all-in-one will set you back $1,999, while the top-of-the-range unit is now only $300 more expensive. Both devices are available from today via Apple's online store, retail outlets and authorized resellers.
